We started off the year with a nice, relaxing evening of playing games and eating snacks as a family. It was a great night!
I took the kids on a field trip to the San Rafael mission with our great friends, the Cox family. Alex is in 4th grade and here in California this is the year they study the missions and do a project for it. Alex built a replica of this mission.
Benjamin is sill insisting on train rides at the Nut Tree. Any time we drive in that direction he is in full alert to see if they are open. Luckily for me, this time of year they aren't open very often.
Joel turned 36 this year. For his birthday he got some expensive work clothes--oh the joys of growing up! But we also surprised him with some of his favorite treats, and an itunes gift card. He doesn't like cake, so we made him a cookie cake. Happy Birthday Joel!
The kids all worked hard and played and sang Happy Birthday together for dad!
We love to see the temple. This year was our 5th anniversary of our eternal family!
Love my eternal companion. He really makes me a better person. And thanks to his calm and relaxing personality we have an incredible marriage!
Katelyn was in a play this year, Beauty and the Beast. I direct the music every year for the Notre Dame Catholic school. This year Katelyn came to some practices with me and the director was so impressed with her singing that he asked her to be in the play. She couldn't be a lead because she doesn't go to the school, but she did a great job dancing and singing as a napkin and a villager. She had a blast.

After her performance, dressed as a villager.
St. Patrick's day we made a rainbow of fruit, it was so yummy!

Gold coins, green eggs, ham, rainbow fruit, and green milk. It's so fun being a mom and being able to be silly!
I'll try to be better at updating our blog. Life was getting pretty busy, and to prevent a certain someone (me) from going crazy, something had to give.
